Things to do at Swarovski Crystal Worlds

Swarovski Crystal Worlds sits in Wattens, about 20 km east of Innsbruck; a shuttle usually runs from the city centre and is often sold bundled with the entry ticket. The attraction opened in 1995, designed by the Austrian artist André Heller, and visitors enter through the mouth of the Giant, a grass-covered head with a waterfall running from its lips.

Inside are a series of themed chambers built around crystal installations rather than a single museum hall, plus gardens and a play tower outside.

Because it is almost entirely indoor, it works as a wet-weather or off-season option when mountain lifts around Innsbruck are shut for maintenance, roughly mid-April to late May and again in November, and it runs the same regardless of snow cover, so it fits equally into a summer or winter itinerary.
